About this project
We transformed this Chew Magna courtyard with sandstone paving and natural stone walling, creating a series of usable outdoor areas. A ramp formed with sandstone setts provides accessible passage through the change in level.
A custom-built barbecue makes a focal point for outdoor cooking. At the client's request, the paving was traditionally hand-pointed with a lime-and-cement mortar mix, giving the finished stonework a characterful appearance.
